Today’s benchmark workout “Chelsea” should see athletes able to complete their options inside :45 when fresh, at a moderate pace (not racing). Athletes should employ this pace on purpose, aiming to strike a balance between speed and efficiency so as to move aerobically through the workout. Certainly pull-up, push-up and squat options should allow unbroken sets across 20+ intervals, thus leaving athletes limited not by muscular endurance, but by cardio-respiratory endurance. |
